Tolton Trailblazers couldn’t find the time tickle the twine

It was a sad game, the Class 1 girls soccer state championship. Tolton could not keep up the Saxony Lutheran and their attack. Saxony’s players had exceptional foot skills and took the time to see where the ball needed to be. Tolton allowed 4 goals in the first half.

The second have proved somewhat better for Tolton. They fought harder, but could not get the ball through the Crusaders defense.

The final score was 5-0 with Saxony taking the state title.

I felt sad for the girls. I had gotten to know many of them and their coaches in the two weeks i had been working with them and found it hard to watch them come in second.
